This project involved picking our two signs, Chinese and Western, taking them and creating Vegas Show Style Characters out of them. Taking aspects of the signs that were recognizable; and using them to create something in a show style of our choosing.

Year of the Sheep
Iron Sheep
Year of the Iron Sheep; 1991.
Inspired by the lucky colors of the year; and the texture of the Sheep; instead of going literal with the 'Iron' I went with a 'tough of Iron' asthetic with the combat boots, to contrast the more delicate nature of the sheep. I also utilized silver-grey of Iron as a core detail color.
Taurus
The Stubborn Bull
Taurus; April 26th.
Taurus is the second sign and belongs to the Earth Element; with a feminine quality, a Venus ruled sign. I originally started out with a very green design, but after the Sheep involved as much green as it did; I switched over to more gold tones; with some underlaying green. I wanted to create a more armored Vegas look; corsets; chains, something that speaks to the feminine but still read as the tough bull.
