Sadness & Envy
For this particular project our focus was in texture, shape and color. We created inspiration boards for each mood that we pulled, textures, colors, images that captured the mood we selected, and from there used them to create our characters.
The Motion of Emotion

Sadness
as a Character
Sadness as an individual is someone who is physically soft, more rounded, often will downturned rounder eyes. Someone deeply sentimental and who cries ridiculously easily at everything. They always feel overwhelmed and as if they are drowning in a sea of their own making. They tend towards more passive characteristics, and tend to be gentle and deep. They tend to be something of a pushover, more likely to put others needs first, rather than focus on whatever it is that they might need. However, they understand what it is to feel, after all Sad is Happy for deep people.

Envy
as a Character
Envy in contrast is someone who is all consuming; they want it all, NEED it all, and are jealous of anyone who does have it. They have to have everything else everyone else has, the literal embodiment of keeping up with the Jones’. Slender, and tall, they have to garner everyone's attention when they walk into a room. Turn your head with the latest and greatest. They aren’t necessarily a hard worker, but feel everything everyone else has should be handed to them on a silver platter. Entitled, selfish, want it all and want it now personality.
